These last few weeks have been filled with identifying and assessing patients with chronic mobility limitations. It’s been a time of really seeing the vision and the value of the vision come alive.
Now a few weeks later; people are moving!! I am elated!
Often on first reaching the home, we find people bound to the house or more; their bed. Their movement and distance is limited due to the level of pain but other times, to a lack of confidence in their ability. As we’ve begun to discuss mobility, positions of posture and basic exercises, we’ve seen people begin to move. Many are changing their sitting positions, some are braving a few extra meters in their walking distance or even taking on some daily exercises.
